Designer Banded Shades
The ultimate backdrop of style. Our At Home Blinds & Decor team loves introducing Fort Myers clients to unique designs and innovative features. With the Banded Shades collection, you can achieve customized privacy, room darkening and layered light control–with a view of the outdoors!
- Rotating fabrics offer sheer & light blocking
- Clean lines or geometric patterns available
- Roll everything up & out of the way
The fabric layers of Hunter Douglas Banded Shades rotate, keeping this dual roller shade down and in place, yet changing the light and privacy. In one position, you’ll see solid fabric and sheer shapes–in repeating patterns that fit your style. Then, with one quick rotation, the sheers have disappeared, leaving you with closed-off light, blocked UV rays and complete privacy. This specialty Hunter Douglas roller shade offers scene setting style and amazing benefits.

Unique Patterns of Banded Shades
Create your own feature wall at the window with Hunter Douglas banded shades. Available with a striped pattern, often referred to as zebra shades, you can view the landscape with natural light entering. Solid and sheer fabrics alternate to create a unique pattern at the window. This Hunter Douglas collection also features geometric shapes in curves and angles with the same benefits of entering light and landscape views. These special shapes create a dynamic result for style.
What Are Zebra Shades?
Have you heard of zebra shades? This is a nickname given to the striped option of double roller shades, like you’ll see in the Banded Shades collection. But, in the case of Hunter Douglas, you can customize the look with curves or angles. The way zebra shades work remains the same: Two fabric layers shift slightly to either offer natural light and views, or closed off light and privacy. Sheer and solid fabrics alternate to create this look. When you want the whole window open to the light and views, these window shades roll up into the headrail at the top of the window, disappearing from view.
